Resolution 2010

The year is coming to an end soon. With the new beginning around the corner, it’s time to think about my New Year’s Resolution again.

Before that, let’s look back at my good track record so far.

2007 – Quit smoking. It was difficult like hell, but hell, I did it anyway!

2008 – Return to my pre-natal figure. Sure many, including myself, thought it was quite impossible, but I put on my old pair of jeans in 5 months!

2009 – Get that driver’s license. And yes, I got it even though I was pregnant. Pretty amazing!

Seems like nothing can stop me! I am unbeatable!

2010… It seems like I should give myself a stretch.

I want to lose all the weight that I had piled on during this pregnancy. That would be 20 whooping kg or more! And I want to do something about those darn freckles, fix my disappearing double eyelid; perhaps even heighten my nose a little. In another word, fuck this frumpy preggie look, give me back my chio bu image that I was once so proud of!

While at the same time, be a super mommy for my new baby, Leonitus, and my precious little angel, Laetitia!

It’s so going to be another tough year ahead for me. But I will JUST DO IT. I know I can!

My Blessed Christmas

I felt so blessed this Christmas to be surrounded by lots of warmth and love!

On the eve of Christmas, I had some very close people to my heart over for dinner and mini gift exchange. Although the presents were all inexpensive, but we had a lot of joy receiving them.


On Christmas Day, it's a tradition in my family to have lunch together at my aunt's place, feasting on ham, log cakes and so much more food! And those awful Karaoke singing filled the entire flat, like always.



Mr Hubby, who had already bought me a LV bag, surprised me with my second Christmas present. He gave me a fabulous book, "The Contented Baby with Toddler Book", so I can be a better mom when our second baby arrives next month. I love this man, he is so thoughtful at times!

Finally, this year, I received a festive SMS from my Dad... the first time in my life! Although he might be 20 years too late to try get chummy with me and my bro, I replied his SMS and wish him Merry Christmas all the same. Well, it's Christmas, a time to forget about painful past and to celebrate the lives we have now!

And to have a perfect ending to my blessed Christmas... Mr Hubby and I are sneaking out to catch a midnight show later, while Laetitia is fast asleep. Hehehe...

Not that Madly In Love

I had a telephone conversation with my bro earlier and one thing led to another, suddenly we were on the topic of "being madly in love". We both agreed that people who are madly in love do the stupidest things and not realise any. And when it's all over, sometimes the person or couple became the gossip or/and the butt of jokes for many months to come.

I look at "being madly in love" as being SICK. It's almost like having some mental illness that makes you do things beyond your wildest imagination and be trapped in a mindset that everything about the person is perfect and your lives together is all that matters. Some thinks that it's romantic, I think it's kind of disgusting.

If you love the show "Twilight", you probably also worshipped this kind of MAD LOVE. The intensive, thrilling, mind-blowing kind of passion! Which is not very healthy for one's young mind, I would suppose. Look at the tag-line of the poster below, "YOU ARE MY LIFE NOW", it says. WTF! Your whole damn life is about that person and the person alone? Dude, you are missing of so MUCH MORE!

I am just glad I am not that madly in love with Mr Hubby. But of course I love him, but our love is rational. And most importantly... he is no vampire!

The Annual Wage of a Mom

That day I was reading the papers and there was a report saying that a full time mom should be drawing USD$120000 (that is about S$160000) for her annual wage!

Wooowww!!! That's a lot of money. But sadly, no mom I know of, gets anything close to this amount of paycheck. Hmm... unless you are Posh Spice or the talk-of-the-town, wife of Tiger Wood, Elin Nordegren.

If you are thinking only a full-time mom is worth getting paid, you are so wrong. Working mom is also worth some money. I went to Mom Salary Wizard and had my fair share of work evaluated and guess what, my part-time mom job should get me a paycheck of USD$45714 (that is S$68571!!). And it is just being PART-TIME mom for those 2 days over the weekends and over 3 hours every weekday; this is just a little short of what my full time day job is paying me right now!
